Good day everyone. Tomorrow is Hallowe’en! Students are encouraged to dress up but there are some limitations – no masks and no weapons real or fake. It is also the last day for the Haunted Hallway. Students need 2 dollars or one non-perishable food item for the food bank to enter the hallway. Here’s what we got up to today.
Les sciences humaines 7A – We finished up the economic activities of particular groups in Ancient Egypt. The students should have page 12 completed in their notes. I have uploaded the powerpoint used for this page in the sciences humaines folder. We also tried a fun activity trying to guess what resources were available at this time in Egypt’s history. I will have to move the planned quiz to next week as Friday’s class includes the daily physical activity and we will not have enough time to do both.
FLA 7C – The students put their Bescherelle skills to the test today and we are getting more and more successful. We will be putting everything together tomorrow for our play by play presentation and we should have everything ready by the end of the week.
Les mathématiques 7C – We started subtracting positive and negative integers today using manipulatives. Most students are feeling pretty comfortable with the strategy and were flying through the class work. Some students need to finish up a few questions from the text book listed below. The presentation was uploaded to the mathématiques folder for reference and review if needed.
- #1 ABC
- #2 ABC
- #3 ABC
Les sciences humaines 7C – We finished exploring the pharaohs and starting looking into the common daily economic activities of particular groups in Ancient Egypt. I introduce 14 of them to the students and they guessed which activities or careers belonged within one of 6 groups. We will check our results on Friday.
