Mercredi le 31 octobre

Joyeux Halloween ! It was a good day for 7C. We were very fortunate to have a great group of young ladies who organised a great plan for the door decorating competition. Their efforts to get all the materials and plans won us the competition! We were able to enjoy a movie and popcorn in the library this afternoon. Thanks to Paige, Hannah, Aby, Lacey, Dannicha and Angi. I have pictures but I’m struggling to get them uploaded, but I will keep trying. Here’s what we got up to today.

Les sciences humaines 7B – We completed our study of some of the pharaohs and reviewed previous work. We started into the daily economic activities of particular social groups.

FLA 7C – We completed our final draft of the play by play project and the students are doing a great job of using their dictionary and bescherelle. It’s only a mini-project but I’m hoping its building some good skills along with it.

Les sciences humaines 7A – We played a review game for the ancient Egyptian hierarchy and geography. I introduced our next assignment for the unit – a visual project to showcase our understanding of the economic activities of Ancient Egypt. I spoke to the reasons for the project, the course outcomes and the rubric. I have a attached a copy in the sciences humaines folder and each student has their own copy. We used the final ten minutes of class to brainstorm some ideas and I’m confident they are well on their way.

Les mathématiques 7C – No math class today due to our awesomeness at decorating doors. The quiz scheduled for tomorrow will be pushed to Friday. I want to use tomorrow for some more review. The quiz is still solely on addition of positive and negative integers.
