Bienvenue en 2019! First day back after a wonderful holiday break and we were all only slightly tired. We will bringing back the Daily Physical Activity starting next week on Monday. I informed the students that the days where the activity is schedule with me will be outdoors, weather permitting of course. They are to always be prepared. Here’s what we got up to today.
Les sciences humaines 7A – We reviewed Greek geography and examined the advantages and disadvantages of the different geographic elements. We used this information to examine the strengths of the city-states we labelled on our maps. I’ve uploaded the presentation and student notebook that we’ve used thus far. I also handed back the students’ essays. Overall the essays were done well and I encouraged the students to go over my comments and grading with the rubric they received on the original assignment. The marks will put into SAS once I have handed back all the essays (there were some absences today).
FLA 7C – We completed our daily review as per usual. We then applied some common dietary restrictions and preferences to some menus. We completed two activities using flash cards and we will continue these activities tomorrow.
Les mathématiques 7C – We reviewed probability in preparation for our unit test on Monday, January 7. I also handed out a project for the students to work on that is to be handed in on Monday as well. I did not directly assign it for homework tonight, but they should spend some time on it to ensure its completion.
Les sciences humaines 7C – We continued with Greek geography and its advantages and disadvantages. We used this information to examine the strengths of the city-states we labelled on our maps. I also handed back tests that were written the Monday before the break. The results were strong and we will have some time next class to go over any questions they may have.
