Here’s what we got up to today.
Les mathématiques 7C – We had our test on probability today. I should have the tests marked by tomorrow or Wednesday once everyone has finished.
FLA 7C – We worked on distinguishing preference from restrictions in terms of our diet. This was a means of introducing new vocabulary and phrasing. We then moved onto some reading comprehension. We read a dialogue together and identified the particular preferences and restrictions of the dialogue’s main characters. Finally, we started writing our own dialogue with a partner based on the sample we read together. The students are to review and practice reading aloud the dialogue at home. They have their own copies but in case they left it at school there is a copy in the français folder.
Les sciences humaines 7B – We completed pages 3 and 4 in the student booklet examining the geographic advantages of the Greek city-states. We are starting into Greek mythology and the history and roles of the 12 principal gods and goddesses. The students were assigned a little homework – they are to colour in the map on page 1 to better identify the geographic elements we have been reviewing in class.
