Bonjour tout le monde! Here’s what we got up to today.
Les sciences humaines 7A & 7C – We spent some time reviewing geography and mythology. We spent a majority of the class examining the social structure for men and women in Athens and Sparta in Ancient Greece. We are working with a text that I keep in class, so unfortunately nothing for review at home except their own notes. They should continue to review their notes each evening for at least 20 minutes.
FLA 7C – We are looking at the characteristics of health foods and junk food. We’ve identified some characteristics of each and will use them to make suggestions to improve one’s diet and why the suggestion will help one’s health. We will have some writing assignments completed by the end of the week. We started on one today and they are asked to read over it tonight to prepare for the other writing assignments.
Les mathématiques 7C – We started a new unit today on adding and subtracting fractions. We started out with some basic math skills – labeling a fraction, factoring a number and finding the greatest common factor. We’ve started adding proper fractions with common denominators today and the students seem really comfortable with that. We’ve also started reducing fractions using the greatest common factor. We’ll practice this some more tomorrow. There is homework posted in the google classroom (kus8b7) for yesterday and today.
