A gentle reminder for tomorrow night’s social, 7pm to 9pm. There is music, karaoke, a photo booth and much more planned. Here’s what we got up to today.
Les sciences humaines 7C – We reviewed the Ancient Greek government structure and formed mini assemblies to discuss potential laws for our Greek society. With their groups they developed questions, suggestions and arguments against potential laws. With this practice the students then developed their own laws they’d like to see passed by the Greek assembly.
Les sciences humaines 7A – We reviewed government and how laws passed in Ancient Greece then moved onto our assemblies. The students shared their laws and allowed the other members to provide questions, suggestions and concerns. The students then applied these questions, suggestions and concerns to their law in order to update, specify or correct their original idea.
FLA 7C – We shared our suggestions to correct bad habits to give ourselves greater success with our health. We will now take on the role of a personal trainer and develop a plan for a client seeking to improve his health.
Les mathématiques 7C – We focused solely on expressions today. We started with the specific mathematical terms for the different parts of the expression and the format for applying a value to the variable. I’m being very specific on how to show their work in order to help the students with the grade 8 expectations. We then started looking into word problems and developing expressions using the available information in the scenario. I uploaded a presentation I’ve been using in class.
