Le vendredi 22 février

Two items for next week. The staff has a PD day scheduled for Monday, so no classes for the students. Wednesday, February 27 is our Pink Shirt Day and we have been challenged by Mrs. Burry. The class with the highest participation rate will win a treat for themselves. The 7C crew has done well this year with the challenges so I hope we can continue the trend. Here’s what we got up to today.

Les sciences humaines 7B – We reviewed and revisited the government structure of ancient Athens. The students looked at a few more samples of potential laws to be discussed and debated. The students now have to create their own idea for a law to be discussed, debated and voted on. The students need to complete this portion of the task along with two to three reasons why it is a good idea for the next class – Tuesday. I have uploaded the powerpoint in case students need some assistance.

FLA 7C – We reviewed our questions, added in some verification for comprehension and reviewed a written message to practice oral production. We returned to our suggestions to improve our unhealthy habits and how we can you them in our health plan for our client, François. He’s got problems and wants to fix them. We started on a rough draft for our plan and we will continue on that next week. I have uploaded the written message for the students to practice.

Les sciences humaines 7A – We reviewed the government structure in order to compare with the Canadian government structure. In order to get a better appreciate of Canada’s government and hopefully see the comparison, we watched some clips from question period and a vote held in the House of Commons. We started to work on the comparison in our notes – the student booklet has been updated in the sciences humaines folder.

Les mathématiques 7C – Class was cut short due to a student survey. We got into equations a little bit but we will return to it on Tuesday.
