Le vendredi 22 novembre

I apologise, apparently I was distracted yesterday and I completely forgot to update my blog. We had a great social last night and the students had a wonderful time. Here’s what we got up to today.

La science –  The students handed in yesterday’s lab work. We tested several substances to whether they were acids or bases. We started into scientific properties using some of the information made available in our workbooks. The students began applying this information to question 4 on page 44. I will be looking for that to be complete for next class (Wednesday, November 27)

Le français 7E – We reviewed our understanding of reading a menu for Crêperie Lisette. We spent a brief moment on a dialogue based on the information and then completed our first listening activity. It was a bit of a struggle for the students but they did show a satisfactory level of comprehension – there will be a formative assessment included in SAS for the activity.

Les maths 7C & 7D – We wrote our quiz today for converting fractions, decimals and percentages. I will have them marked over the weekend and the information will guide our plans for next week. I took in the math homework duotangs as well.

Les sciences humaines 7D – We reviewed our hierarchy notes and discussed a potential quiz next week, but we may have to schedule the quiz for the following week due to where we are in the cycle. We completed our task for comparing ancient Egypt to modern Canada. We used some of the presentation notes and referred back to our notes from the first unit. Most students were able to complete the assignment but some wanted to use the weekend to add or perfect their work. There is information here on the blog to have with their work and we made sure to review how to navigate the blog for the necessary materials.
