Le lundi 6 janvier

Bienvenue an 2020! First school day of 2020 done. Here’s what we got up to today.

Les sciences humaines 7D – We reviewed the geography of the Mesopotamia region. Students had started labelling and colouring the map prior to the break. I will be looking for its completion tomorrow (homework!!!). We analysed some photos of artifacts and locations found in the region from its ancient civilisations to gain a better understanding of possible roles and activities that would have been practiced there. We will continue to a second batch of photos tomorrow.

Les sciences humaines 7A – We started into the essay assignment. The students received two sample introduction paragraphs to analyse and critique. We worked on one together and identified the strengths and weaknesses and means of improving the writing. The students completed an individual analysis of a second sample intro that we will discuss tomorrow. No due date has been assigned for the essay but we will be using the next few classes to complete the writing assignment.

Les maths 7C & 7D – We reviewed our divisibility rules. We completed a little review activity and completed the first page of a practice quiz. The students received a few extra handouts today for studying and practice. We scheduled a quiz on the divisibility rules on Friday, January 10. The google classroom homework has been uploaded.
